About Entepesi Kenya
Quality health should not depend on where you were born.
Entepesi Kenya is a Non-Governmental Organization serving underprivileged communities with health-related care and education in Kajiado County, Kenya.
Our Mission
To work with like-minded organizations and individuals to facilitate healthcare through means of treatment, preventative screenings, family planning, and educational training — meeting community needs through mobile clinics, infrastructural development, advocacy, and sensitization on health matters.

Entepesi Kenya believes that quality and affordable health care should be available to everyone, regardless of their location and economic status.
We partner with the government — including the Kajiado County Ministry of Health — hospitals, churches, schools, opinion leaders, the community, and local and international NGOs to provide quality healthcare services to underprivileged communities in the region.
We meet community needs through mobile clinics, infrastructural development, advocacy, and sensitization on health matters — with treatment, preventative screenings, family planning and educational training.
The need
Why Kajiado County, and why now.

Kajiado County has a population of 1,378,592 people. Statistics show only four sub-county hospitals, sixteen health centers, and seventy-eight dispensaries run by the county government … The current doctor population ratio is 1:26,094; Public Health Staff is 1:7,619; and the nurse population ratio is 1:1,068.
From these statistics it is clear that medical care in the region is a challenge for many people in the community. It is from this background that Entepesi Kenya was formed in March 2021 to provide medical services to the underprivileged in Kajiado County.
The name
Shade, medicine, and a place to gather.
Entepesi is a Maasai word for the acacia tree, which is known for its use in traditional medicine in Kenya. With a wide treetop, the acacia provides shade in the rural areas of Kajiado County.
The organization was named after this tree to symbolize providing healthcare services for the community — shelter, healing and a place where people come together.
